It's been over a year since Nintendo announced that it had restarted the development Metrop Prime 4. Since then, Retro Studios has been hiring now.
Now, according to VGC, the Texas-based studio has hired DICE artistic director Jhony Ljungstedt. He has helped with the art direction of many EA blockbusters, including Sunglasses Edge Catalyst
Here's what Ljunstedt had to say Connected about this migration:
Today was my last day at DICE and with mixed feelings I left something that has been part of my life for so long. It's been a great journey and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with all the talented people at DICE, you'll all miss it … Now I'm ready for a new Chapter in my life, and I'm looking forward to my new journey at Retro Studios.
VGC is believed to have hired Metroid Prime 4, but it's always true that the studio may have other plans for him. It's also interesting that Retro has been looking for an art director since last June.
This follows from the re-lease of Halo the lead character actor in the series Kyle Hefley last October. Earlier this year, Donkey World: Warm Snow The lead designer returned to the studio again.
This sounds like a great retrospective of Retro, given Ljungstedt's experience with the first-person genre. What do you think? Share your thoughts below.
