Bayonetta has been at a very high level lately. Late last year, PlatinGames founder Hideki Kamiya was asked when fans can expect to hear more about the next entry, Bayonetta 3. He replied that "progress is really good" but offered no further insight.
Now, in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, Kamiya has shared more information on the game's progress – confirming to fans that it is progressing well, even though there have been no new details since its original reveal.
Here is the full translation from BlackKite (thanks again, Japan Nintendo):
First of all about Bayonetta 3, there has been no new information at all since the first reveal so I feel a lot of people are worried about it, but testing of new systems is fine, and development is still in place and progressing very well, so please be sure and wait. There are many other interesting things I want to talk about, but it's a big secret so I can't say.
If you're wondering about some of the "fun" things Kamiya wants to discuss but haven't been approved yet, you may have been trapped by the many "big announcements" that PlatinGames intends to reveal earlier this year. Kamiya also notes that by 2020 “what will be the year of the Platinum crisis” – which may have something to do with the huge investment we have received from China's Tencent of China.
While the above comments may not sound as good as the reviews of some Bayonetta fans, it's always nice to hear that the development is well underway after the initial outbreak of some of the first team ended up being delayed last year.
