Following the closure of Nintendo's US headquarters and the Nintendo store in New York, the company's correctional facilities now have to close the store due to preventative measures being put in place to stop the spread of the coronavirus outbreak. Here is the complete statement:
Due to COVID-19 coronavirus restrictive methods, and in accordance with organizational and local guidelines, our repair centers are closed until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. When repair services restart, we will work faster to get you to play again.
Please note that, during this closure, products submitted for repair may be returned to you as unserviceable.
Once our repair center has received your product, we will stay there until the repair services restart.
Correctional centers in the UK appear to be working, with the company declaring that it is still "working hard" to maintain standards, but warns of possible delays:
We work hard to maintain the highest levels of customer service in the current critical times, but please understand that there may be delays in response to messages and corrections.
We would like to voice our concerns and the support of all those involved in the COVID-19 outbreak during this challenging time. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
So, if you have a Switch or something else waiting to be fixed, you might just have to wait a little longer.
