The case for the ongoing phase-long investigation into alleged Joy-Con driving problems will be resolved, it has been confirmed.
In accordance with Rule360 (thanks, VGC), United States District Judge Thomas S. Zilly allowed the case to enter into arbitration, and found that Nintendo and Console customers had a "valid" agreement. Besides that, the same judge also rejected Nintendo's request to dismiss the case altogether.
The case was first returned in July 2019; the lawsuit alleged that "Joy-Con controller arrows are flawless, leading users to deal with troublesome issues". A few months later, following its launch, the Nintendo switchch Lite was also added to the case as users' reports of collisions with the new console also began to appear.
In November, Nintendo commented on the Joy-Con Drift issue in a statement The Verge, saying that if players do not have "great knowledge" about its products, they should "contact our customer support teams and we will do everything possible to assist them with that."
