As the Nintendo fanbase enters its finest day without a definite presentation (we can attest to that), a decline from UK retailer GAME can give us reason to believe that the show is just around the corner. It is possible.
Earlier today, Nintendo and LEGO have fun with the collaboration of the Super Mario Franchise, and while the details have been very limited on the ground at the time of writing, GAME was one of the first retailers to set up a Website
It didn't take long before GAME realized its mistake and quickly edited the text to remove all Direct appearances. Here's what it looks like now:
This could mean one of two things. The first option is that the Director's identification was a complete error, and that no presentation was ever involved in announcing anything. The second option, however, is that the LEGO collaboration was originally intended to be revealed to Direct and that GAME knew about it ahead of time.
If the second option is true, that would suggest that Nintendo might delay the exact presentation and decide to continue LEGO production as planned, GAME is simply working on a previously agreed text and doesn't feel that it needs to be replaced. Most likely, Direct could be ready to go, with Nintendo waiting for the right time.
Of course, this is all just a guess for us; as soon as the Director is officially confirmed, we will confirm to let you know.
But what do you think? A simple, innocent mistake? Or do you think Direct was more than likely involved in a particular category? We will leave you meditating on that in words.
