The popular Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest installment in a franchise known for its brutal design with high levels of graphic violence.
This concept most of the time hinders the arrival of characters from other franchises in collaborations; however for the creator of Spawn, Todd McFarlaneIt is not an impediment at all.
In a recent interview with Comicbook, the creator has talked a bit about the use of Spawn in Mortal Kombat 11, and was not shy about fatalities. These were his words:
So whatever you do with the characters and their game … it also has a couple of other elements in it, which are its cape and chains. Maybe from time to time you want them to be important, right? They can use them as upgrades and / or weapons. I will let them decide what they want to do.
It happens that just when you think it couldn't be worse for the bad guy, the loser, if you want it, they go one step further, right? So it's like, ‘Okay, I killed you with a 10 on a scale of 10. I'm going to kill you up to 15 on a scale of 10, okay? So, I will make sure to insert the knife and rotate it about four times. Which, as I said, may horrify the sensitivity of certain people, but for those of us who understand it, we simply say, "wow, that was great, really."
