NFortec Scutum X, 80+ bronze power supplies

Nfortec offers us three power supplies under its Scutum X range, designed for low cost gaming PCs given their 80 Plus Bronze certification, but if you are planning to build a gaming PC and don’t have a high budget, these types of sources a valid option.

Nfortec Scutum X: general characteristics

Nfortec’s new Scutum X power supply range consists of three different models: one of the 650 W, another from 750 W and a last of 850 W. All models have 80 Plus Bronze certification, which translates into guaranteed performance with a maximum efficiency of 85%.

All three power supplies are designed for ATX type towers, all three models have measurements of 153mm x 81mm x 160 mm. Where they differ is in weight, being 1.65 kilogram for the 850 W model, 1.55 kilograms for 750 W and 1.45 kg in the case of 650 W.

Regarding the quality of materials, Nfortec has improved the capacity of internal components by using higher quality capacitors, which are associated with a 140mm fan included as standard in each of the three models for cooling.

Regarding its connectivity, it has a series of wired connections with mesh protection, which can be classified as follows:

  • Power to the motherboard is provided by a 20 + 4 pin ATX configuration, which is 550mm long.
  • We have 8 pin EPS power connector, the length of which is 680mm.
  • Two power connec tors for 6 + 2 pin PCI Express ports with a length of 500 mm.
  • Five 450mm long SATA connectors.
  • 2 Molex power connectors 450mm long.
  • An additional S4P / FLOPPY type connector.

The NFortec Scutum X are currently in the pre-sale period, so you can already buy them at the following prices:

  • $ 49.95 for its 650W version.
  • $ 59.95 for the 750W version.
  • $ 69.95 for the 850W version.

But if you’d rather wait for their release, it won’t be long to see them on both Amazon and PC Components.
