The latest GeForce Game Ready driver is offering upgrades and enhancements to Minecraft beta with RTX available from tomorrow. It also enables DLSS 2.0, the technology required to use that function.
This pilot also provides an excellent experience on Saints Row: Third Cast, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Renewable, and SnowRunner. In addition, support is included for the three G-SYNC compatible game monitors.
Minecraft adds ray tracking, DLSS 2.0 and accessibility facts
Yesterday NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Mojang Studios announced that Minecraft with RTX will be launching in the Windows X Edition as a beta on April 16 at 10 AM PT.
Minecraft with RTX is an advanced ray trace form called track traring, new physics and NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 technology. This technology is teaming up to bring an amazing new picture quality to Minecraft, the world's best-selling video game.
NVIDIA will also leverage Minecraft RTX's new global capabilities for the Minecraft Market for players to enjoy for free, as well as for creative directors to build their new RTX worlds.
The announcement reflects the increasing momentum that ray-tracing provides for the game ecosystem. The fact that Minecraft adds ray tracing shows that ray tracing is a great practice. Minecraft will showcase this technology to millions of players of all ages and backgrounds.
There is only one chance to make a first impression, and the games are no different. NVIDIA works hard to make a good first impression on each topic, even if it's still being developed.
Ready Drivers aim to keep up with all of the game's great milestones, which means we always work to give you the best experience every time you play. As titles continue to emerge with new content and features with patches and DLC, so will NVIDIA drivers.
Three compatible G-SYNC exhibits
The G-SYNC Collaboration Program expands the G-SYNC program and aims to provide consistent and educating consumers where the display will provide a positive Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) experience.
The newly approved monitors are the Acer XB273GP, Acer XB323U, and ASUS V27B, which give consumers more options when looking for a larger game screen.
Under the G-SYNC support program, NVIDIA works with monitoring manufacturers to verify technology in monitors that support the AdaptiveSync protocol. That functionality is called "Compatible with G-SYNC". For a complete list of G-SYNC compatible shows, click here.
