Borderlands 3 introduces Steam to March 13 with PC crossplay. The second expansion of the campaign, Firearms, Love and Structures: Wainwright & Hammerlock's wedding, will launch on March 26 across all platforms.
Who needs March Madness when Borderlands 3 brings you March Mayhem? During the Gearbox Main Theater Show at PAX East, Gearbox and 2K they shared some important announcements about the content to arrive in Borderlands 3 next month and beyond.
First, March 13, Borderlands 3 will be introduced to Steam, with a PC breakthrough game between Steam and Epic Games Launcher. Thanks to the new SHiFT functionality, you can add friends to your friends list, join affiliate groups and play together online no matter what platform each player uses. Gearbox plans to introduce other PC game features, such as the ability to send weapons to the base, in the weeks following the launch of the game on Steam. Vault hunter applications can add Borderlands 3 to their Steam wish list now, and to celebrate Steam's launch, take a look at this exclusive art from Borderlands 3!
After that March 26, you can enter the second installment of the Borderlands 3 campaign at a dangerous engagement party Guns, Love and Jobs: Wainwight & Hammerlock's Wedding. Sir Alistair Hammerlock and Wainwright Jakobs are finally getting married and want you to come and celebrate their future generations on the planet Xylourgos. Its frozen debris has set everyone apart from the mighty wildlife, and the mysterious city of Cursehaven, where everyone agrees to meet, is underneath the massive Vault Monster house.
As if the fearsome and terrifying wildlife of this snowy world weren't interesting enough, the ghostly group of worshipers serving the Vault Monster shell is determined to destroy the devoted allies. You have to fight against evil forces from another world so that Wainwight and Hammerlock can have their eternal happiness. Fortunately, the strongest wedding planner is backing it: Gaige, a vulture vault hunter (and beloved return of fans) separated from his BFF Deadtrap robot. And that's not perfect:
- Meet old friends and create a group with some new and mysterious characters to help true love overcome supernatural fears;
- Bloody enemies and huge faces, including alien monsters, evil-minded witch doctors and a list of cold-blooded robbers;
- Focus on the disturbing and temporary issues of dam residents in a series of side missions;
- Your arm of the Vault Hunter and other deadly galaxies of this galaxy, including a wealth of additional Agendaries and some very powerful Digital Mods; and
- Squeeze your sense of style with many new cosmetics, from Vault Hunter heads and skins to interactive room decor and new car skins.
Gearbox and 2K have also released a road map of content detailing events and updates to arrive at Borderlands 3 this spring, all free to all players. First in April is Mayhem Mode 2.0 and Carlels Season Event Revenge. Mayhem Mode 2.0 will update the end of Borderlands 3 game by restoring the ways in which Mayhem operators operate. Revenge of the senders will see you tracking and issuing poster jobs to receive specific event rewards.
Then, in May, the second Takedown arrives. Like Takedown at the Malwan Blacksite, launched last November, Guardian Takedown will provide some of the game's most intriguing content. This unique independent operation will be the core of the mysterious Eidians and will include not only new managers but also new equipment and cosmetics. The difficulty will be reduced by the size of the player group automatically. However, if you want to experience Takedown in its original form, you can choose "True Takedown Mode", which alters the difficulty of a group of four fully loaded Vault Hunters, regardless of group size.
