In anticipation star Wars: Clone Wars& # 39; Season seven, which started this Friday, February 21, Disney Plus listed 20 key episodes from the original launch series. But what makes them it is important?
To catch you off, here are a brief summary of this episode, why it's important, and what some of it might cost you. Clone Wars& # 39; Season 7.
(Vol. Note: Summary and analysis below the title of each episode include spoilers Clone Wars.)
"Ambush," season 1, episode 1
Master Yoda and his team of cutters fought against Count Dooku's pupil, Asajj Ventress, for the dedication of the Toddarian king, eager to join the Republic.
This is Clone WarsThe first episode, then shows the show formula well. We doubt that this will coincide with season 7, and that Disney + has included introducing viewers to Ventress.
"Rookies," season 1, episode 5
What you need to know: Clone Commanders Rex and Cody teach a group of rookie clones the importance of working together as a unit.
Much like the premiere of the series, "Ambush," the episode works to introduce viewers to clones – especially Rex and Cody. Rex and Ahsoka are very close in time Star Wars: Rebels it happened, and we expect Rex to play a key role in it Clone Wars period 7.
“Coming to the Sun Rain,” season 2, episode 5
What you need to know: Ahsoka, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi arrive in Geonosis to attack the powerful droid factory.
Geonosis attacks are one of the first major arcs Clone Wars, and introduced viewers to the Barriss Offee, which will eventually deliver the Jedi Order and Ahsoka in the upcoming seasons.
"Weapons Factory," season 2, episode 6
What you need to know: Anakin and Jedi Master Luminara Unduli stopped the waves of droids while their Padawans – Ahsoka and Barriss Offee – attacked the droid factory.
The "Weapons Factory" shows the frozen friendship between Ahsoka and Barriss, and incorporates Ahsoka's peace in the face of death.
"The Terror Legacy," season 2, episode 7
What you need to know: Obi-Wan and Anakin search for the lost Jedi Master Luminara, and accidentally stumble upon an army of zombies and a Geonosian Queen.
This episode begins with the Geonosian Queen and her mind-control skills, which play a pivotal role in "Brain Attackers," the next episode Disney Plus recommends watching.
"Brain Raiders," season 2, episode 8
What you need to know: After gaining success in Geonosis, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Luminiara, Ahsoka and Barriss unwittingly brought the ignorance of the Geonosian Brain Worms into their own transport, resulting in an outbreak of mind control.
Borm Worms have infected Barriss in this episode, and he's fighting Ahsoka. This provides an important context for what might have caused Barriss to almost take a future picture of the "Wrong Jedi" arc (see list), when Ahsoka left the Jedi Order.
“Mandalore Plot,” season 2, episode 12
What you need to know: Obi-Wan and Anakin travel to Mandalore, where Obi-Wan meets an old flame: Duchess Satine, the Mandalorian emperor.
The episode introduces viewers to the Duchess Satine, with current staff members from Mandalori.
"Voyage of Temptation," season 2, episode 13
What you need to know: The Jedi, with the help of the Clone, defended the Duchess Satine in an assassination attempt.
"The Voyage of Temptation" reveals Obi-Wan and the Duchess Satine have been dating, which serves as an important link between Anakin and his king. “The Mandalore Plot” and “The Voyage of Temptation” are also the twisted myths of Mandalorian politics, which we know will save season 7 (maybe let us know what we just saw Counterfeit period 1).
"ARC Troopers," season 3, episode 2
What you need to know: The Separatists attacked the Clone Center in Kamino, and many of the Clone troops returned to defend their home.
More Clone Wars focused on making the Clones more human. In "ARC Troopers," he sees Rex, Cody, five, and many others afraid of their home, and he blames the loss of elderly Clone, 99.
"Brothers," season 4, episode 21
What you need to know: Savage Opress, Darth Maul's brother, goes to a junk planet to find his brother. He finds Maul in the cage, his first barber.
This is the first episode to bring back The Phantom MenaceDarth Maul, which we know will be a bad key Clone Wars period 7.
“Revenge,” season 4, episode 22
What you need to know: Mother Talzin of Dathomir uses magic restoring the mind of Darth Maul and giving him a new author of robotic legs. Savage Opress and Maul are fighting with Obi-Wan Kenobi and his former classmate, Asajj Ventress.
This episode reminds viewers of Maul's great hatred of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and it is the first moment that Ventress becomes the greatest anti-hero in that villain.
"Revival," season 5, episode 1
What you need to know: Maul and Opress caused misery in the galaxy. Obi-Wan and Jedi Master Adi Gallia hunt down the brothers, but Opress kills Gallia.
This battle shows more power than Maul and Opress & # 39 ;, and the death of his ally gives Obi-Wan a real reason to continue fighting Maul.
“Gathering,” season 5, episode 6
What you need to know: Ahsoka and Master Yoda take a group of babies to the planet Ilum, and help them shape their first lamp.
This episode puts Ahsoka in a position to become a pastor, and a respected Jedi – it's important to see before Ahsoka decides to leave the order soon this season. It is also possible that some of the children closest to her in this episode will appear in season 7.
“Stronger,” season 5, episode 14
What you need to know: Savage Opress and Darth Maul arrived in Mandalore, forming a strong alliance with the Dead Watch terrorist cell.
This episode begins the second Mandalore arc, which is probably the key to understanding the plot of season 7.
"Shades of Reason," season 5, episode 15
What you need to know: Opress, Maul, and Death Judge overthrow the Duchess Satine. Die Watch scatters Maul, but he and his brother escape. Maul challenges Vizsla, the leader of the Die Watch, to kill him, and then claims that Darkaber – but Death Watch members refuse to swear to a stranger.
This episode marks the fall of Death Watch and Darth Maul's rise to Mandalorian politics. It also features Darkaber changing hands on Maul, which can play season 7.
“Lawless,” season 5, episode 16
What you need to know: Obi-Wan ignores the Jedi Council's orders to stay away from Mandalore, and attempts to save Satine. Maul kills the duchess in front of Obi-Wan, and Satine says he loves the Jedi. Darth Sidious feels Maul's presence across the galaxy, travels to Mandalore, kills Savage Opress, and tortures Maul with Force Lightning.
The death of Duchess Satine is a major turning point for Obi-Wan as the character and political structure of Mandalore. Obi-Wan will definitely talk about Satine's death in Season 7.
“Sabotage,” season 5, episode 17
What you need to know: After the bombing of the Jedi Temple, Anakin and Ahsoka investigate the crime.
"Sabotage" begins the "Wrong Jedi" arc, which eventually causes Ahsoka to leave the Jedi Order.
“The Jedi Knives Too Much,” season 5, episode 18
What you need to know: A woman named Letta Turmond, who seems to know who created the explosion at the Jedi Temple, is asking for Ahsoka's help. But before Turmond can reveal who set the bomb, the mysterious image is Force Chatch to die. The security footage made it look as if Ahsoka had killed Turmond, while the Clones arrested him on a charge of murder and bombing at a Jedi temple. Ahsoka escapes to the depths of Coruscant.
This is the first episode where the Order turns to Ahsoka, causing her to flee and discover the reality of the bombing.
“Catching the Jedi,” season 5, episode 19
What you need to know: The Jedi Council – with the exception of Anakin and Jedi Master Plo Koon – believes Ahsoka is guilty. Ahsoka contacts Barriss for help. Asajj Ventress hunts Ahsoka down, with a team of two to find the real attacker. However, the mysterious person stops Ventress and uses her lights to attack Ahsoka, which leads Padawan to believe that Ventress is betraying their agreement. The image criticizes Ahsoka, arrested by the Clones.
This episode shows the team's reunion between Ahsoka and Ventress, whose friendship could play a major role in Season 7. It introduces Barriss back to the plot.
“Bad Jedi,” season 5, episode 20
What you need to know: Ahsoka represents the trial of the Jedi Temple blast. While Ahsoka faces the senate, Anakin hunts for the real attacker: Barriss. Anakin brings Barriss before the council, and they give Ahsoka a chance to join the Jedi Order. Ahsoka refuses, then leaves her way past the galaxy.
This episode sees Ahsoka leaving the Jedi Order for good. This is the most important decision Ahsoka makes in this series, and it may be the biggest talking point of her character Clone Wars period 7.
Without the full context of Star Wars: Clone Wars season 7, it's impossible to say for sure why Disney counts these episodes as important. But if you want to get inside Clone Wars for the first time, or if you just want to refresh your memory, these 20 episodes are a great place to start before next season's cash outing.
Star Wars: Clone Wars Season 7's first episode, "Bad Batch," premieres February 21 on Disney +.
