A million complexity of movies hits the Internet every week, which can make it difficult to follow what's coming to fashion and home screens. To help keep up with the never-ending trace of upcoming movie and TV releases, we've compiled a list of the most exciting (and in some cases, sharp) trailers to come out this week, as well as the hype level, that track whether or not these trailer is really excited about the upcoming product. Fear might be something you dreamed of? Don't be afraid again.
This week, we have a mixed bag, moving from horse-power to Pokémon status, and shining on some upcoming battles in the stars.
Rhythm section
Here is my beef with Rhythm section: You cannot name your movie Rhythm section and don't have it. The recurring motive in the trailer, which has Blake Lively up as a woman to take revenge on the people who have taken her family to her, is that the corpse must think of "the rhythm section." "Th ink of your heart like drums, your breath like a ride." Ed. It's a kind of dialogue that works in one place, but not in repetition, and definitely not as a subject.
Movie Release Date: Jan. 31 stadiums
Hype Level: 2. Blake Lively looks great on wigs, but come on, you couldn't just call this movie any more.
The Horse Girl
Alison Brie stars as a titular girl in The Horse Girl, or the movie itself seems less about this time (meaning anyone who was busy with horses in youth and sometimes even more) and more about cracks that have nothing to do with a female horse. Sarah (Brie), whose family has a history of mental illness, finds herself unhappy just as she starts trying to make new friends and even begins romance.
Movie Release Date: February 7 on Netflix
Hype Level: 4. It looks fun, but in reality the "horse queen" is not.
Pokémon: Mewtwo Holds Back Power – Evolution
DO NOT TEACH ME AND TEACH YOU – actually Pokémon: The First Movie, but with a CG makeover. So it will remind us of that tragic scene where Ash dies and all the Pokemon cries and their tears and heal her … But with a swanky sterile CGI! Will it live up to our childhood memories? We'll find out!
Movie Release Date: February 27 on Netflix
Hype Level: 7, keep the full hype up because what if this isn't as sad and sad as it did in the past? It sure looks good.
Miss Americanana
Taylor Swift's place in the public eye has always been a bittersweet, as is the case with any woman who attains any degree of fame. Here comes Lana Wilson for the documentary Miss Americanana, which, like all accredited documentaries about popular figures, is neutral, but does offer an impossible look at the life of a witch and his acceptance journey.
Movie Release Date: Jan. 31 on Netflix
Hype Level: 22, as a song. (In fact, 5. Music books are deceptive!)
For All the Boys: P.S. I still love you
Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) is back and wandering around in her relationship with the heart of high school Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo, with whom I went to high school, by accident). But while their relationship is good and healthy, Lara struggles with the fact that the whole school is still stunned by Peter. Then the recipient of one of his five love letters accidentally returns: John Ambrose from Model UN. The first trailer for the Netflix film kinda just got caught up in the game, but this new one shows the tension between Peter and John. Who will Lara choose ?!
Movie Release Date: February 12 on Netflix
Hype Level: 9, because it is beautiful and soft, but every time I look at the face of Noah Centineo I am reminded of my insignificance in this mortal world.
Fire Fire
This short of Perry is following the movement of Bo Peep between the ends of Dog Story 3 and the beginning of Playing story 4 – and it looks like Bo Peep is past the ringer. Fire, ice, stack lights, oh no!
Movie Release Date: Jan. 31 at Disney Plus
Hype Level: Modesty 5.Ports shorts are fun, but is this a necessary issue?
The Vivarium
Jesse Eisenberg and Imogen Poots work as a young couple trapped in an urban cleanup. When visiting potential homes, they find themselves unable to leave a suitable location. The creepy realtor chimes that neighborhood … it's eternal. It sounds like it should be Sim in Sims 1, where you couldn't really leave your limited space and babies just exposed to calories and grow at a shocking pace. Creepy!
Movie Release Date: March 27 in theaters in the UK
Hype Level: 8. I love anything that feels like it could be Sims.
Star Wars: Clone Wars
Star Wars is coming to an end! Again. For real this time. However, at least one branch of Star Wars ends this one season. However, fans of this animated series should be moved to see Ahsoka take control of her future and face straight Darth Maul. Which he does again in the next series Star Wars Rebels, but that's off point. The point is that Yoda will FULLY be able to say "Finished, this Clone War has."
Series release date: February 21 at Disney Plus
Hype Level: 8, because Ahsoka, baby, you're doing great, I love you, I support you and the father of your paladin space.
