Chris “Sacriel” Ball a different kind of Twitch streamer, incorporating his exploits inside Escape to Tarkov with tons of great advice. That makes him perfectly suited to help new players get into this extremely scary survival game.
Football has been a hit for many survivors from the past Player Battlefields Unknown it was something even. She got her lashes hunting tents in Chernarus, pulling security inside DayZA regional rivalry had been debated before the game and even made it independent. Late last year he was among the first top pro players to transfer to it Tarkov full time. His style of play involves long-range action, but he does not resist dampening his hands in battle. Our email conversation is partially edited to be clear.
Polygon: TarkovThe latest update has increased the rating for groups. What is the right number of players to throw away the starters with? One looks like it isn't enough these days, and just having one eye with the most helpful eyes I think I can think of. But the three feel like they are too many.
Chris "Sacriel" Ball: Duos is the right size group Tarkov, especially as a starter. Once you know the maps and can properly engage the players (which means you have enough time to say "you" before the fight) there is room for three or maybe four teams. However, the original game has enough on your plate so playing as a two-man team is perfect. One thing my team does is say "steps" if one of us thinks they are hearing the enemy, by hearing the word "steps" tell all our teams to stop quickly so we can see what remaining steps are showing the enemy player.
Marketers can scare you a little. Which players should focus right on the bat, and what is the easiest way to find their beauty?
To make good money you have to sell to a Therapist first. Offers good prices but only buy non-weapon items such as food, water, dishes, electronics, mechanical items, and dog tags.
Sell to Skier next. He has second-rate prices, but mostly buys parts for firearms and weapons and helmets. He won't buy all the guns, so to make more money you can try with the click of a gun to split it into parts. Sell the organs first to Skier. Whatever he wants to buy you have to sell Prapor as you need to raise him in the first round.
Each dealer can be paired with a combination of doing jobs for them, spending money with them to buy gears, and finally putting your main character up.
What are the first two rifles a young person should buy from retailers? Which of the following two guns should they get the money for?
In my book there are no magic firearms appearing for new players trying to buy them. Generally the difference between 500 AK types in a small game. The original game is best to play your Scav (which is 20 minutes cold) every time it is available. Try getting out of the free Scav gear provided, and then take that Scav gear to your next PMC run. Get acquainted with what guns work for you, then you can start prioritizing getting those types of weapons in the robbery and getting them out of your second handbag or bag.
In that same pit, what is a good map for beginners, and how should they use it?
One of the great maps you have to work on is customer service. It's important for new players to read this map, but it can be very dangerous.
There is a Scav Boss just overlooking the map at two locations – the gas station and the beaches. Higher player teams often invest in the owner, so as a new player you must remain anonymous at the gas station or dorms in the first half of the round to make sure you do not run into over-built squads.
Most of the claims at the Customs Center around the dorms area, so try clearing the dorms after the attack time to complete your requests. Sometimes you will appear after the squads open all the locked doors for you, which can make your journey much easier.
What important piece of kit would you not struggle with outdoors?
The latest medical supplies called CMS (or Surgery Kit) and Survival Kit have been some of the best in this game. Earlier, when the member reached zero the life was dead around and you had to ride your way to the exit. This new medical item allows you to repair those dead limbs and heal them back, giving you another chance to have a full cycle. The CMS is smaller and takes less time to operate, but leaves the leg repaired at a lower cost than the Survival Kit, which is larger, lasts longer, cools cracks, and leaves the member in a much higher position.
Let's talk about body armor. Remote trade has proved to be important here compared to other survival games, with very crafty games being the same Arma 3. Where should our priorities lie when we are just starting out: helmets, wood carriers, or something else?
Body armor is a complex part of the game. There are six levels of armor, and the higher the number the better protection against incoming damage. But it is not that easy.
Escape to Tarkov has a sophisticated diagnostic system that compares the penetration rate and penetration rate, which takes longer to read. Armor classes one through three are usually very protective. They will not protect you from a player firing any powerful ammo. However, a one-to-one weapons class will keep you alive against many of the classic AI threats in this game. Armors four, five, and six are more of a defense to other players, but they cost a lot of money. I recommend that they only be used if you have a gun that you actually care about missing (which is pressed, pinned, or otherwise upgraded).
A good cheap helmet is the SSh-68 that you can buy at retailer Ragman. It's a triple, and it has a great chance of creating an incoming cycle on ricochet. Cutting wounds are a big part of the inside Tarkov, so that means there's a chance to save you from that. Ragman also has some other types of warfare that you can turn away from by bringing the items you find in the swift.
The important thing to mention is the condition of the vest. A class six vest on a 10/10 thickness (usually 75/75 when it is new) will not work as part of a six-point weapon. In that case it's like a two-arm battle. Most new players will buy at a “high” risk market in the mussel market where they have very little value to prove useless. Don't cross this!
Sound is an important part of the tactics in this game. There is a sound like a gun, and then there is a sound made by a player without even shooting a gun. What are the best ways to control your audio profile, and prevent jumping from behind?
Understanding the sounds you hear and make is essential to staying alive Escape to Tarkov. Or something as simple as pointing your gun at someone else will make a noise they can hear that can betray your position.
It's very important when a black person is approached for the opportunity to see as quickly as possible, so you don't have to do it when you are in the middle of a noise. The floor you stand on also makes different sounds that travel in a different distance. Slowing through the metal is bigger than walking quickly on the grass, so try to remember how big your steps are and avoid pulling out when you really need to.
Wearing headphones – game items – will greatly enhance your character's ability to feel. Some helmets, such as Kiver or Kolpak, actually limit the amount you can hear. Most players would agree to have unprotected headaches if it means they can completely avoid recognition.
Most people have a good run, and then chase around the exit. What are some tips for getting out of camping, and making it home?
True to the map, on the factory map there are usually camps where the main releases are. Players who bring the “Factory Exit Key” have various releases that they can take advantage of to be included in the camp. For customers something is off the map with question marks next to it, such as an RUAF or a boat dock. These exits are also less likely to be camped. It usually has a visible indicator at a distance to indicate when it is available as a light emitting RUAF or campfire. Read the output of the map and make sure you try to swipe through the optional output before going to default.
Does thinking about your cover up apply to the first game? If so, where should we invest our time and energy?
Hiding is a great new addition to the game. It can boost your out-of-raid healing and pre-meal nutrition. Once you get your upgrade it will benefit Scav's quick coaches, the ability to invent rare things (often the fastest to perform tasks) and the ability to produce Bitcoins, which is a free wage!
Due to the shape of the reachout there is not much choice in how you create a hide due to the many improvements you need to upgrade to other channels. When you play maps like Interchange you often get lots of cables, bulbs and all kinds of technology that allow you to quickly jump through the first beams of the hiding stations.
Sacriel manages a great community, and has great conversations with people even during the most intense fire hours. Feel free to stop by and shoot him with your questions on Twitch at any time.
