Organizers of the Evolution Championship Series (called Evo) announced on Friday the cancellation of their biggest wrestling event this year. The Evo 2020 will move online "this summer," according to a tweet to the Evo team. It was scheduled to take place from July 31 to Aug. 2 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
"Thanks to COVID-19, we are sadly canceling the Evo 2020 in Mandalay Bay and returning all purchased tickets," the organizers said. “But to keep the Evo spirit alive, we bring the event online in the summer. More details to come soon! ”
Evo has been held every year since 2002, and in the Las Vegas area since 2005.
Evo organizers have made it clear that "all stadium tickets and room bookings" will be refunded automatically – "no entry required."
