Fire Emblem Heroes, a mobile take on the Nintendo series of late plans, has just completed three years. The game celebrates anniversary in all the usual ways: free game money, scores, and challenge maps. But it seems the fanbase is not happy at all. The sticking point? The registration service is called "Feh Pass."
A Feh Pass subscription will cost $ 9.49 per month and will include a few of the new features, some expected, some not. Pure whitewashing skins for existing characters? Fewer bonus rates can be completed by subscribers only? Of course, that's okay. But the Feh Pass goes even further, with mathematical increases given only to those who pay. A few gameplay-related improvements (focusing mainly on enlarged stats) will give subscribers a small edge in competitive ways.
Alternatively, Nintendo and Intelligent systems lock health-level updates after a subscription subscription. Two useful gameplay features – the ability to bounce back one turn with Auto Start, which allows players to have AI to start multiple games in a row – will be available to subscribers only.

The transition to a subscription model follows in the steps of Mario Kart tour, Nintendo's take on mobile in popular racing. In that game, Nintendo charged $ 4.99 for access to special mode, challenges and bonus rewards. Nintendo also introduced a subscription service to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, which has active quality features that are used to get rid of subscribers.
Fire Emblem Heroes considered to be one of the most free-to-play mobile games, offering a lot of content, even for those who cannot spend money. Over the last three years, developers at Intelligent Systems have gained a reputation for being willing to adapt, fixing game flaws with heaps of life comfort, for free, as a way to maintain player base.
But this change to the $ 9.49-a-month model, which rewards subscribers only for gameplay and life-comfort comfort, looks like a major change of plan and a disappointing turn of Fire Emblem Heroes.
We've got Nintendo to comment on the fans' reaction to Fe Pass and will update this story when we hear back.
