The Ghost Recon franchise has marked the protagonists of other Ubisoft titles in the past, such as the ability for players to play as an assassin with a creed Wilderness. Now it does that again by adding Rainbow Six Siege Operator too Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
On January 19th, Ubisoft Paris will release a patch for Title Update 3.10 for Breakpointwhich is free for all players. In addition to Title Update 3.10, there’s Operation Amber Sky, an event that begins January 21st.
Breakpoint takes place on a fictional South Pacific island called Auroa. Players take on the role of ghosts, government agents sent to Auroa to stop Cole Walker. Cole Walker, played by The punisherJon Bernthal is a treacherous warlord who leads a force known as Wolves. The island is also occupied by a PMC called Sentinel. Breakpoint Lets go of players into the open world of Auroa, where they can gather intelligence, engage in skirmishes, and complete missions.
The latest update includes 9 free missions where Sentinel produces a toxic gas called Amber Ruin. This means that players have to break into heavily guarded locations and stop producing the gas while they find an antidote. Thankfully, Rainbow Six Siege is there to help. Players who complete the missions will “unlock eleven unique rewards, including brand new weapons and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege skins.”
By completing the first mission of the event, the operators Ash, Finka and Thacher are activated. The player can swap his normal Ghost teammates for some friends from Rainbow Six. Each operator’s weapons and unique skills come from their portrayal in Siege, which means they play a little differently.
There will also be “120+ new customization items” including operator skins for those who like to dress up.
Breakpoint will be available during a free weekend running January 21-24. Free players have full access to the base game, including the Amber Sky event. Progress will carry over from the free trial to the purchased game as you enjoy your time in Auroa. The game is also available for sale, up to 85% of the Standard and Gold Editions. The content pass for year 1 will also be reduced by 70%.
