The live trivia app, developed by Vine creators Colin Kroll and Rus Yuzupov, was wildly popular when it was introduced in 2017, promising players real money to use the app, and answering questions at some point twice a day. Users will split $ 250 between themselves, and the money will be transferred to their PayPal. The app reached a record high of 2.38 million users by March 28, 2018.
The game faced a problem with bots and, reportedly, popularity eventually won out. HQ has continued to update the app and is looking for exciting ways to keep the trivia heads interested in gaming, such as HQ After Dark
However HQ Trivia no more, we'll remember the weeks when friends would get together at 3 p.m. trying to play.
