Following the recent violent military strikes by the Israel Defense Forces that leveled entire buildings in Gaza and Gaza over 180 Palestinians died, IGN posted an article Association with a variety of Palestinian charities and even a Palestinian flag highlighted in its masthead. Some time ago, all of its content was removed along with a tweet promoting the post, with no indication of why or whether it will be republished at a later date.
Shortly thereafter the IGN Post went online yesterday, IGN Israel shared a Statement on social media Accounts owned by IGN Israel on the grounds that it condemned the US IGN article and tweet in support of Palestinian charities. At this point it is not known whether IGNZiff Davis’ parent company requested that this content be removed or that the content be removed for some other reason. At this point in time, the post and the tweet remain deleted.
Another outlet that showed support for Palestine and its people was Game Informer. However, his article Funding charities was also removed today. As in IGNThere was no public indication of why this post was removed or whether it will return.

As the Israeli attacks against Palestinian civilians continued, many in the gambling community began speak out against the violence. While what happens isn’t new, this may seem like reaction from big outlets, like IGN and GameSpot, was considered a big deal by many who had done it have begged for more news and media coverage. IGN, The largest gaming news site in the world was one of the first major outlets to publish a story direct support to the people of Palestine and various charities trying to help the victims of Israel ongoing military attacks.
