Now a Blastoise Pokémon card has sold for $ 360,000

First we had Charizard cards that sold for $ 350,000. Then sealed boxes of first edition cards for over $ 400,000. Now someone is out here paying so much money for a blastoise.

Last week a Galaxy Star hologram card commissioned by Blastoise with a CGC 8.5 rating (what is not mint

but is close) was sold at auction for $ 360,000 by the Certified Collector’s Group.

$ 360,000! This is house money!

Of course it wasn’t just that any Blastoise card. This particular Blastoise was part of a test run that Wizards of the Coast did in 1998 before Pokémon launched in the West, and this is the only one of them that has nothing printed on the back.
