The amount of Pokémon branding in Japan is intense. You’d think pocket monsters could be hit on anything – maybe nothing, but as these fishing lures show nearly something.

Japanese fishing gear company Duo has partnered with The Pokémon Company to create Japanese-made baits with Pikachu and Kygore designs. One is a “slow jitter type” while the other is a “crawler type”.
Duo explains that Pikachu’s tail “isn’t just well designed Element, but is also functional and effective in getting you that catch. “(It adds that the ears are easily damaged, so be careful when throwing the bait!)
In all of my time playing games, I have never seen game-themed fishing equipment. A first for me!
