E3 2021 will take place from June 12th to 15th as a newly designed, completely virtual online event. Nintendo, Xbox, Bethesda, Square Enix, Sega, Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, Capcom, and others will be delivering new video game announcements, trailers, release dates, and more.
Nintendo’s new WarioWare for Nintendo Switch will feature the usual microgame craze when it launches in September. The players will pluck armpit hair, drill noses, squeeze out toothpaste tubes and much more, all in seconds of play that can be played cooperatively.
WarioWare: Get It Together! will also feature the standard slate of Nintendo-themed micro-games developed by WarioWare Inc. 9 volt. This time, the 9-volt game collection, inspired by Nintendo classics, is more modern than ever. As seen in Nintendo’s gameplay stream Treehouse Live E3 2021, WarioWare: Get It Together! contains games based on Fire Emblem: Three houses, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and splatoon.
And that seems to involve a microgame based on Fire Emblem: Three houses
The Nintendo tree house folk also offered Look at a couple of other Nintendo-inspired games, including a modeled one Luigi’s mansion and another based on the 8-bit classic Ice climber. There is also at least one Deer crossing: New Horizons-inspired microgame in which the players have to shoot down and “deliver” a gift. (But they didn’t show much so as not to spoil the gloriously surprising deluge of microgames traditionally packaged in WarioWare.)
In previous WarioWare games, the 9-volt library of Nintendo-themed games took from 8-bit and 16-bit Nintendo classics such as Excitebike, Super mario bros., F-zero, Duck hunting, and Donkey kong, as well as Nintendo’s pre-video game products (Ultra Hand, Hanafuda cards, etc.). But Nintendo has also developed WarioWare microgames based on newer products like amiibo. Brain age, the Mii creator and Nintendogs.
WarioWare: Get It Together! will be released on September 10th for Nintendo Switch.
