In less than 24 hours, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is coming. We know many of you can’t wait for the big day. Not only will you be able to relive the wonders of Final Fantasy VII Remake as an enhanced adventure on PlayStation 5, but you will also be able to play as Yuffie Kisaragi for the first time in FF7R Episode Intermission.
You can choose to start with the original Cloud & Company story or jump right into the all-new adventure with Yuffie. It is entirely up to you. If you’re planning to dive straight into FF7R’s episode intermission, we’ve rounded up seven tips and tricks (or maybe VII) to help you plan your strategy while you wait!
1. Use Yuffie’s Shuriken to collect items
Yuffie’s throwing arm is a force to be reckoned with. She can launch her oversized shuriken at long range – not just in combat, but around town as well.
Look around as often as possible to spot any boxes that might contain items; you never know what might be hiding in plain sight.
2. Equip yourself with the right gear to succeed
Yuffie has her own elemental ninjutsu, which gives her the ability to alter her attack’s affinity with fire, ice, lightning, or wind. This means that she doesn’t have to rely on elemental materials like Cloud and her friends.
Instead, focus on equipping her with stat-boosting materia and ability materia which expands her options in combat. We have a weakness for Flying ourselves.
3. Knowing when to synergize
Press L2 to activate the synergy between Yuffie and Sonon. This allows them to team up for special attacks and more easily stagger enemies. Besides, it looks awesome.
If it sounds too good to be true … well, you are right. Using Synergy will significantly slow down the regeneration of your ATB gauge. So be sure to maximize your time in and out of Synergy.
4. Let Sonon take the hits
Yuffie’s ninjutsu is incredibly strong, but she’s not invincible. A tough enemy or a group of enemies can easily overwhelm him if he’s not careful.
It is a good thing that she is not alone. Sonon trained under Yuffie’s father in Wutai, and not only is he a skillful warrior, but he’s also quite good. So use it to take the wrath of enemies wherever you can.
We recommend equipping Sonon with Materia Provoke, which allows him to attract the attention of an enemy and gives Yuffie some breathing space. You can also order him to use his battle incitement ability, which allows him to gain the attention of an enemy for three attacks.
Stay on your toes though – it’s not that effective when used on strong enemies.
5. Fort Condor Strategy Tips
In Fort Condor, ranged units get a bonus against defense units, defense units get a bonus against vanguard (attack) units, and vanguard units get a bonus against vanguard units (attack). distance. Be careful that your opponent’s units are weak and build your strategy from there.
Additionally, the board you choose determines how many ATB charges and materials are available to you, so pick one that plays to your own strengths.
6. Complete Happy Turtle quests for neat stuff
In addition to the main story, there are side quests to complete that will give you cool stuff!
For example, if you really like the Fort Condor minigame, doing the Happy Turtle questline will get you some really good Fort Condor boards and units (for a price, of course.)
7. Face familiar faces in Fort Condor
Fort Condor is back as a tactical board game and its questline has plenty of surprises in store!
By defeating Tier 1 players, you will be able to unlock Tier 2 players, and so on. On your journey to defeat the Grandmaster, you’ll be able to play Fort Condor against familiar faces, like your daughter Jessie!
So fight everyone you can!
