Enhanced Edition arrives on PS5 on March 4 – iGamesNews

The Boss March 2, 2021 No Comments

Hi everyone, I’m excited to tell you about Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition, which arrives on PlayStation 5 on March 4th. The rest of the team and I were blown away by the positive response to Mortal Shell. Our fans have asked us repeatedly if an improved version of Mortal Shell is coming to PS5, so I’m excited to finally have the chance to tell you all about what the Enhanced Edition will bring to the next gen.

Before we do, here’s a brand new Enhanced Edition trailer to show you what we’re bringing to the next generation.

From the moment we got our hands on the PS5, we’ve delved into its power and capabilities to find the best ways to bring Mortal Shell to a new generation. Whether you take your first steps in Fallgrim or return to face its most vicious and grotesque opponents, our goal is to increase immersion and make everything more brutal than ever. That means smooth 60fps (focused) gameplay, razor-sharp 4K visuals (scaled, with a 4K capable display), enhanced textures, and DualSense controller upgrades that give you more of a physical connection to the game.

From crowds to brutal boss encounters in 60FPS

As soon as we were able to get Mortal Shell to work on PS5, we immediately noticed how the 60fps frame rate made a huge difference. Every perilous movement of your sword feels so much smoother now. Even the Ballistazooka – the shoulder-mounted heavy ranged weapon that shoots spears – is much more responsive when aiming your reticle at your target.

Explore Mortal Shell with improved textures

It was extremely important to us that the Enhanced Edition made the most of the PS5’s advanced hardware. Our goal was clear to us: to provide gamers with a version of the game that truly shows the power of the PS5. With 4K resolution everywhere and improved textures, we’re very happy with the difference, watch the video below to see for yourself.

Textures have been improved in every part of the game to make the game even sharper. Water sparkles, armor sparkles, and your tarnished sigil shines in sleek new 4K resolution.

Strategic combat with a touch of DualSense controller

Mastering the weight and feel of every weapon and piece of armor in Mortal Shell was vital when we focused on game development, so when we heard about the capabilities of the DualSense Controller, we knew it would be a perfect fit for a neighbor. -g version.

We can’t wait for you to feel the whispers and heartbeat vibrations echoing from your controller as a new shell approaches, as well as the adaptive trigger feedback when your character takes that final blow and runs out of stamina. Fighting a Ranger Brigand for the first time? Gain the advantage in combat by feeling the haptic feedback of passing projectiles – and the added impact if one of those projectiles hits you!

Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition is available on March 4 as a completely free next-gen upgrade for existing Mortal Shell players who have previously purchased the game on PS4. For new players, this upgraded next-gen version will retain its last-gen introductory price of $ 29.99 ($ 29.99 / £ 24.99).
