Apisak, a well known data leaker, discovered on Geekbench various data from an Intel laptop CPU. The performance on the web does not match any of today’s processors so we c an assume that it is one of the CPUs that is not yet on the market. It is also marked that it belongs to an HP EliteBook 896 D laptop, so it is for laptops.
We have heard a lot about Alder Lake for desktop PCs but remember that each generation comes with its own mobile processors. The bad news, at least for Intel, is that the leaked does not beat AMD’s 5800 H processor, so the new generation would not be as good in laptops.
Less than AMD for now
Intel’s score is 1258 in Single Core and 6831 in Multi Core, while AMD’s is 1337 and 7051. The difference is not much but it must be remembered that Intel is “new” and AMD has more than one year available.
Of course, let’s remember that this is a leak, that it is not confirmed and, above all, that the benchmarks before the official launch are not usually the best. In addition, there is still a lot for the premiere of the new Intel CPUs that are scheduled for the end of the year and it is not ruled out that the blue team can get more performance out of this new product.
The fight for the hegemony of mobile processors is usually not as flashy as that of desktop processors. But it is important for the big brands that laptops that may or may not lean towards one brand or another depending on the long-term performance.
