Let’s dive into what has been covered, including information on the return of the SFIII series character Oro, SF newcomer Akira, the final character reveal of SFV Season 5, and more!
Oro returns from the SFIII series
Street Fighter III’s Wandering Hermit has returned to SFV and is ready to teach these youngsters a lesson in fighting. Oro’s playstyle has always given him a variety of options and his SFV iteration is no different.
System V
Oro’s V-Skill I is called “Onibi,” which summons a bouncing orb projectile that can bounce off three different trajectories.
Oro’s V-Skill II is “Minomushi”, which has Oro performing a short jump that has two different follow-up attacks: “Kaki Otoshi”, an aerial attack or “Eda Uchi”, a safer block kick. .
Oro’s V-Trigger I is called “Manrikitan”, which gives Oro access to his commands called “Kishinriki” and “Kishin Kuchu Jigoku Guruma” and can be performed on the ground and in the air, respectively.
Oro’s “Tengu Stone” returns in the form of his V-Trigger II where Oro summons three items that can be used to enable combos that were not before.
If you hold down while activating V-Trigger II, “Tengu Midare Stone” will activate instead and produce five items. This makes combos even more powerful but will deplete V-Gauge faster.
With his turtle pal in tow, Oro is back in SFV with classic moves as well as some new tricks in her dress. We hope you are all excited to try Oro when it releases on August 16!
Let’s see Oro in action!
Akira Kazama debuts in Street Fighter V
Returning from the Rival Schools fighting game series, Akira Kazama is making her Street Fighter debut in SFV! His style of play excels best up close and personal.
Special movements
“Kiko Kai” is a short-range blast of energy that comes from Akira’s hands. The EX version has a longer range and comes out much faster.
“Urarimon” is a quick and advanced nudge. This move allows Akira to close in space and deal good damage and is best used as a combo ender.
His “Senshubu” kick has low, medium, and high variations for hitting from all angles and has a follow-up kick after.
Akira’s V-System
Akira’s V-Skill I “Kiko Rensei” improves her “Kiko Kai” by adding more hits and damage to the attack.
His V-Skill II is called “Tsutenda”, where Akira will launch his opponents into the air allowing follow-up attacks. These airborne combos are called “Air Bursts”.
Akira’s V-Trigger I is “Otoko No Senaka”. Akira’s brother Daigo falls from the sky and hits the opponent, then explodes w ith a blast of energy!
Her V-Trigger II is “Haten no Kamae”, which puts Akira in a special position where she can perform three different follow-up attacks.
Each follow-up attack has unique attributes and you can cancel position and go for a throw instead! Use this V-Trigger to expand your combos or open up your opponents with frame traps and mixes.
Akira has studied and is ready to make waves in SFV when it releases on August 16! Let’s see Akira in action with this exclusive match sequence:
