Hogwarts Legacy, the RPG based on the world of Harry Potter which is currently under development, has already been involved in the occasional controversy over elements that are alien to it. First were the transphobic statements of JK Rowling, author of the books, and a few weeks ago it was discovered that one of its designers had a YouTube channel dedicated to attacking feminism and defending movements like GamerGate, known for harassing and threatening their victims.
The person in question is Troy Leavitt, one of the leading designers of Hogwarts Legacy
Leavitt’s messages make it clear that he was not fired from the development of Hogwarts Legacy
This news comes days after Avalanche announced that it will allow the creation of transsexual characters in the game by differentiating the body type and voice of the identification as ‘wizard’ or ‘witch’ in the character creator.
Hogwarts Legacy, the game of Harry Potter, will arrive on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC in 2022. Hopefully you will not encounter any more controversies on your way that could affect its development.
