On April 8, an open beta of Resident Evil Re:Verse in which anyone could participate. Sadly for Capcom, things didn’t turn out as expected. Although the beta was supposed to last until the early hours of April 11, 2021, it had to be suspended a few hours after starting.
What happened? Many users were having severe pairing problems. Through an official account, the team of developers announced their decision to suspend the beta temporarily while they investigate what happened and solve it.
The open beta of Resident Evil Re:Verse – which was available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC (Steam) – only lasted seven hours active. Although many players were enjoying the game without problems, a considerable number complained of never being able to find a match.
As of this writing, beta testing has not been resumed. We will be awaiting an official announcement from Capcom about it. If the issues aren’t resolved soon, they will likely have to reschedule and we don’t know if this could affect the game’s release plans.
