Video games aren’t just about gameplay and eye-catching story, they also have a lot of work going into their design. Well-groomed characters, sets that fascinate and, of course, concepts that can be adjusted or changed depending on the final idea. Something which, in its time, saved Bowser from ending up looking quite different to its imposing presence today. It also affects the artwork that is part of the covers or just presentations of the games.
One of Striking Jobs Meet Monster Hunter, where designers are very careful when creating their creatures and, of course, tailor them to catch the eye in any way possible. Something that has partly affected them to the point of causing a rapper to have the interest of adapting the work to make the cover of his cover.
A job so well done that he ended up being the star of an album
It may sound unreal, but this is the story behind the cover of Busta Rhymes, American rapper and actor fascinated by the works of Monster Hunter made him want to make it his cover. While it is true that some changes were implemented to make the design look different, the reality is that for fans that was not enough, being more than aware that the artwork is well presented.
Of course, many fans took the opportunity to point out the joke in this copy issue. And that’s it, since the album is called “Year of the Dragon”, Monster Hunter fans couldn’t help but point out that the reference is wrong since they show a wyvern. A detail which, even if for many it is insignificant, others do not forget it at all.
