Video Game Sales in Spain (January 2020)

One more month the Spanish Association of Video Games (AEVI) offers the official sales data of video games in our country – obtained by Games Sales Data (GSD) -, this time associated with the month of January 2020 (from December 30, 2019 to January 26, 2020).

On this occasion there are no surprises and it is the large multiplatform licenses of the sector that cover the list of the best sellers: FIFA 20 for PS4 is placed first, followed by the version of Grand Theft Auto V for PS4 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for PS4

. From this bestseller podium we get two things clear: multiplatforms for PS4 dominate sales compared to other versions and, of course, GTA V is still a big money factory for its publishers 7 years after its launch.

The TOP 10 best-selling games are distributed among PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, the two consoles that enjoy better health in our country – a reflection of what happens also worldwide. We must remember that PS4 has already comfortably exceeded 100 million consoles sold worldwide and, for its part, Switch with more than 50 million has surpassed Xbox One.

Of course, Pokémon Sword and Shield They are still selling very well in our country, although the most successful version is being Pokémon Sword, the favorite by Spanish players. We leave you with general and platform sales:
