What a year it has been Bleeding Edge. Before it was revealed at the time of writing for the Xbox E3 2019, no one outside our studio knew how fast our 4v4 team was! It has been a perfect storm to ride a party for the Ninja Theory team. While we wait to release our closed beta on February 14, 2020, let's take a look back at how we got here.
An E3 announcement
At the Xbox E3 2019 Brunching, we were there
fun to reveal our first viewing Bleeding Edge to everyone
show with those watching from home around the world. E3 and it was our chance to show up
Our Creative Director Rahni Tucker. Rahni had been working on it DmC:
The Devil Can Cry in Ninja Theory, it brings him a love of multiplayer games too
the act of fighting together to create Bleeding Edge.
Throughout E3, the team has been released Bleeding Edge to a large crowd of attendees at our station with the first handfuls of use. We wanted to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who came out and played with us. We had a wonderful time and there were some really close games that made us laugh and shout with you. Then we came home a few E3 awards
At E3, we re-opened our professional alpha subscription, and we're very happy that many of you have already signed up BleedingEdge.com get a chance to play! After the team found themselves at E3 (and a healthy jetlag), we had a few weeks to get everything done for you to play Bleeding Edge from the comfort of your homes.
What surprised us was how fast he was
some of you jump to the goal of creating your own Bleeding Edge online communities. The Discord server was developed by a
a few of our best alpha technology players, who quickly became
a functional and kind home for our community.
In the following months, we began testing the alpha play weekly, looking forward to it and waiting to see how it played out. Will you all be more likely to choose Daemon, turning to the faithless healers? Can you rebuild a meta, get more tricks and group songs that we never thought about? Can a train of pain on a Jersey Sink map get more killings than any single player in all alpha?
Our questions and concerns were answered
as we submitted the survey, collected the feedback, interviewed you, rated, defeated,
humidity, improvement … and we have our alpha community to be grateful for. Our last
professional alpha test was December 12, 2019. A sincere and heartfelt thanks
you to everyone in professional alpha for supporting us!
