Q: What do you find most exciting about developing and producing? Hitman 3 brought to life on next generation hardware?
A: The performance of the new Xbox allows our games to come to life (on screen) exactly as the development team originally intended, without the compromises and limitations of missing CPU cycles or I / O bandwidth of lower hardware .
Q: You don’t just get the power and performance of the Xbox Series X | S for faster loading times etc.
A: I’d say the higher frame rates give the experience unprecedented fluidity.
Personally, I love playing Hitman for the stealth aspects, but I indulge in the action of a nice shootout when I’m cornered. The Xbox Series X’s constant frame rate makes aiming easy … and walking away lively 🙂
If you think about it, the 60 FPS could even give action players a competitive advantage in our game and make them complete challenges faster.
Q: How do these improvements affect a player’s experience? Hitman 3?
A: The improvements we’ve added for the new consoles have allowed us to increase the accuracy of our simulation beyond what players saw while playing Hitman 2 to the previous generation.
For example, the NPCs in each location are updated at a higher frequency and in greater numbers our fabric will perform more iterations, in the destruction more shards and particles are used and so on.
Q: Why did your development team choose to focus on improved resolution and frame rates as areas of improvement for? Hitman 3?
A: It made a lot of sense for us to focus on improving the resolution and frame rates as a lot of our source resources were already made 4K capable but had to be scaled down to previous generation hardware for obvious reasons.
On the X | series hardware S we can finally use these additional details in the source textures.
Q: How do you expect fans of Hitman 3 It will be with these improvements to playing on Xbox Series X | S react?
A: Players will immediately feel the difference. The experience is smoother, faster and, overall, simply better. You will be able to immerse yourself in the world even more with our realistic locations and characters looking even more lifelike than before.
Q: How’s the development on Xbox Series X | S?
A: We noticed that the evolution of the X | S represents a further improvement over the previous generation. We adopted the GDK early on and were able to considerably simplify parts of our code base.
The Microsoft support was also exceptional and at the same time nice and professional.
Q: What improvement have you been looking forward to the most? Hitman 3 on Xbox Series X | S?
A: We see Hitman as a “live game” and our January 20th launch date is just the beginning of a journey as we continue to work on the game and add new features. It’s great that the X | S provides hardware support for ray tracing. We have already started working on the RT technology for the renderer in our Glacier engine and once this is ready for prime time we will definitely be rolling it over to the X | Series hardware S transferred.
Q: What does Smart Delivery mean for your game and how do you bring it with you? Hitman 3 to fans?
A: Smart Delivery is a great feature that we believe will both facilitate the transition between generations and give gamers a choice of how and where to play games.
To the Hitman 3We took full advantage of this feature and set up the gamer profile to be between the Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S is shared. This will make it possible Hitman 3 Players can easily switch generations and maintain their progress.
Q: What makes the Xbox Series X | S in current or future projects that you couldn’t have achieved with the previous generation of consoles?
