Microsoft and the games division, headed by Phil Spencer, are constantly on the lookout for formulas and new features that improve the current Xbox system. One of the latest additions, included with the Xbox Series X | S, was Quick Resume, the function that allows us to leave several titles open, in suspend mode, to come back to them when we want.
Now, thanks to a new update now available for Insiders, Redmond has implemented the fact that players can manually suspend any game.
You can suspend the games of your choice on Xbox
This news was confirmed by Eden Marie, Xbox Chief Engineer, in it Personal Twitter, where he talked about this new feature that will come to all Xbox consoles, including the Xbox One and the two next-gen models, Xbox Series X | S. This manual suspend will allow gamers to put the game (s) they are playing to sleep, increasing bandwidth for faster download speeds.
Until now, to increase and free up bandwidth, users had to shut down the game completely. However, with this new feature, it will no longer be needed. However, it remains to be seen how this might affect titles that are not yet compatible with Quick Resume and whether forcing a suspension could cause problems for players when the title is reset.
