How to Delete All Photos from iPhone Forever

oriXone February 1, 2021 No Comments

Not all of us use Elon Musk’s method to delete photos and other data from your iPhone. Most of us go for some setup time to help us delete images that at some point reached our “Photo” folder on the iPhone, by selling the device, by freeing up space or because we are just not interested.

Multiple photos on the iPhone screen

Permanently deleting all photos from iPhone is a fairly straightforward process, but what? takes time to get it right. Of course, this can vary depending on the amount of images you want to remove.

Permanently delete photos from iPhone

If the plan is to get rid of certain images permanently, the first thing to do is to verify that they are also deleted in the cloud and on all devices connected to your iCloud.

  • Open the app “Settings”.
  • Open the Photos app.
  • Go to “Library” then “All photos”.
  • Tap “Select” in the upper right corner.
  • Select the photos you want to delete by pressing once to bring up the blue check mark. There is no “Select All” option for this step.
  • Press and slide your finger up in a scrolling motion to start selecting multiple photos.
  • Leave your finger on the screen to continue scrolling and selecting photos.
  • Tap the trash can icon in the lower right corner.
  • A dialog box will appear telling you how many photos will be deleted and how many albums will be affected.
  • Press “Delete”. At the end of the process, the following message is displayed:

This step is not immediately permanent. Usually deleted photos are placed in the “Recently Deleted” folder in the Albums tab.

  • Go to the “Albums” tab.
  • Select “Recently Deleted”.
  • Tap “Select” in the upper right corner.
  • Select the “Delete All” option that will appear at the bottom of the screen to permanently erase your deleted photos.

And always remember that once here it is a step that cannot be undone by this step, so only do this step once you are sure your library is backed up or using another service. .
