One of the things to keep in mind today is that phones they know where we are at any time, and that means the developers and developers of the software that we use every time we turn on the screen also know. But this can be avoided to some extent or, at the very least, to put something that is more difficult to account for.
Mobile phones carry GPS and we can prevent our location from being downloaded without having to uninstall it, just in case turn off what Google calls "Location History" and that's nothing but a list of registered places we go through. This can be done in two ways: through the Google Maps app and the Google account itself. Let us look at two steps.
Turn off Location History for Google Maps
Having an Android phone in your hands, the most common thing is that you have one the Google Maps app is installed, because it is part of Google Mobile's services that Mountain View makes in almost all phones. So if you have one, you can use it to turn off location history.
To do this you will need to open Google Maps only and slide down to the left to access "Your timeline ". Once inside, we look at the three points to the right and click on it Settings & Privacy. There, we just have to look Location settings. We will now have several options.
The first is an indication of where our default location is. By clicking on it we can use or activate it so that our phone will stop collecting this data. What we like, though, is in second place: "Location History is enabled ". There, we can plug in and activate a few taps. Later, if we wish, we can use the third option to Delete Location History.
We can activate history, permanently delete it, delete only parts or arrange to delete them
There is an exciting fourth option that allows us to remove certain strings of our travels from the book. It's called "Delete time from Location History" and we can decide which thread to delete without affecting the entire record. Finally we can work to turn off automatic. Therefore, we can keep history active and will be deleted from time to time as we show it.
So, remember:
Google Maps> Your timeline> Settings and privacy> Location History enabled> Change to disable
Turn off Location History for your Google Account
If we wish, or if we do not have Google Maps installed on our phone for any reason, we may use it Google app to do the same process. We simply find it among our applications, open it and follow the next steps.
When the Google app is open, click in the top right corner of our image to open options, a button will appear "Manage your Google account
With these steps we come to the same section of Location History as from the maps
When we find a section dedicated to "Location History " (the same one we access from Google Maps), in the Account Management section of your account. We will only access and press the blue button to activate history. As we will see, Google tells us that this registration has been temporarily suspended, and that we can use it again when we need to. You just have to click Pension and voila.
Remember:
Google App> profile photo> Manage your Google account> Data and templates created for you> Location History> Change to disable
