Huawei’s proprietary operating system, HarmonyOS, has been around for many months now. The Chinese firm has started its development as a means of future prevention in case it separates from that of Google and the blockade by the United States has accelerated the process. Yes indeed, Huawei presented HarmonyOS and the system has been in beta since then.
We had the opportunity to test the beta firsthand and could see that at least at that point, HarmonyOS consisted of Android wearing a custom EMUI costume, but that all seems to change in the near future. And in addition, everything It will start on June 2
On June 2, HarmonyOS will be officially released
As we said, the first tests of HarmonyOS revealed that the system, at least the main part of the core, still consisted of the open version of Android but covered with Huawei’s proprietary layer, EMUI. Someth ing that should change over time but which has given the clue that indeed, HarmonyOS would be based on Google’s operating system
Since its launch, HarmonyOS has remained in beta mode (quite closed) in its home country but ultimately the company has set a date for its official launch. He will produce June 2, in an event in which Huawei promises that we will have more launches while it has officially only slipped the presence of HarmonyOS on stage.
We don’t know anything about the future of HarmonyOS at this time beyond that, it is an operating system that will be present in connected devices and mobile phones (we assume that it is also tablets). With the Huawei P50s launching into the air, perhaps they were the ones who were chosen to carry it in the first place. And we won’t know if, in its early days, it will leave China. It will be necessary to wait for the manufacturer to confirm it, remember, on June 2.
