Respawn has released a short update on the hot topic of skill-based matches in Apex Legends.
Apex Legend‘Since the fourth season, the“ Edge of the World ”map has undergone several changes, and of course there ’s a new“ Legend Rebirth ”.
In a Reddit post detailing all the changes to this patch, Respawn also talked about the ongoing drama about skill-based pairing. At the end of last year, after performing well in previous games, more and more players began to complain about encountering tougher opponents than usual in leisure.
This has led many to believe that Apex Legends has introduced skill-based competitions, which has caused controversy in the game, with more and more players asking to limit the game to ranking mode.
Respawn has always insisted that skill-based matches are good for most players and have been a factor since the second season. In today's update, developers once again reiterate that the feature has always been there, despite some tweaks at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Respawn wrote: "With this patch, we will roll out changes globally to make pairings that we have tested in specific regions possible."
"We know that this is a controversial topic among players, and there are some misinformation there, so just to be clear: since the launch, skill-based matches have already existed in Apex (Legendary) and we will continue to do it Improvement over time. "
Although this statement may not meet everyone's requirements, we will only see if the impact of skill-based matches has diminished over the days and weeks as more and more players share their experiences.
