More and more video game brands are also making the leap onto the big screen or are being successfully implemented as a TV series – see The Witcher. Borderlands is now set to cause a sensation in this regard, with implementation being led by a horror expert.

It is still unclear exactly when the filming of the loot-shooter series Borderlands by Gearbox Software should start, but the implementation has obviously taken a step further. With Eli Roth the position of the director has now been filled.
Via Twitter Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford initially announced that the director of "Cabin Fever" or "Hostel" could be won over. A real horror expert is now tackling the implementation of Borderlands for the screen. Pitchford advised to follow the Gearbox Main Theater Show at the upcoming PAX East 2020, which will be followed by more information.
Pitchford has since deleted the tweet, presumably because he released the relevant information too early. Of course, this was still recorded on the Internet for posterity and the highly official announcement should follow shortly. It can rather be ruled out that the Gearbox CEO has prepared several graphics that show the director in Borderlands style and in the end just caught the wrong one. So take Eli Roth as the lead director and take it for granted.
Avi and Ari Arad are said to be the producers of the Lionsgate and Arad Productions film. The storyline will revolve around Lilith, which Tiny Tina has to save. Other well-known characters from the video game series such as War and Claptrap are also said to have an appearance.
The latest part of the series is Borderlands 3 and is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
