Setting, stunning art style, artistic gameplay-this is an ambitious game by Pixel Opus, a studio of college graduates whose only title is Entwined, but this ambition is very Serve them well. It sees you walking into Ash's shoes, a little boy exploring and painting in Denska, his now abandoned hometown. Soon after, you are interrupted by a group of bullies who bully your sketchbook, push you onto the tram, and trap you in the beacon of trouble. Here your adventure begins, and as you discover elves and magic brushes, this dilapidated town begins to look radiant.
Concrete sprites are mostly painting. Your main purpose is to collect flip pages of the sketchbook and use the design to light up the town's dark walls. Each new area you enter will provide you with sketches of new themes, from forests and flowers to ponds and thunderstorms, all designed to reflect Ash's mood at different moments in the game. To perform drawing, you need to select a design from the sketchbook and drag the controller in the direction you want it to appear. It's carefully designed so you can make beautiful paintings regardless of your artistic level.
It's great to find games that have trouble using motion controls in DualShock 4-it's great to find games that use these motion controls well. They may be picky at first, but once you master these tips, you will find that you quickly paint a beautiful landscape. If you don't want to pretend to have a magic brush and don't want to wave your controller in the air, you can also choose to use only analog joysticks for painting (though that's not satisfying)
After completing the main event of the game, you can continue to paint where Denska stopped and collect anything you may be completely undisturbed. Although it took only five hours to complete the story, if I had enough time, I could spend a few days exploring its modest open world, painting, repainting, and hanging out with my elf friends. Something about city exploration also always fascinates me, and to my surprise, no more games (not related to horror) delve into its world, but the tickling of concrete elves provides a creative way out come behind.
Concrete Elf is an ambitious game that matches ambition. There are many things here, from animation styles to the experience of each character. In some stories told, there are some moving things and personal things, all of which are different. The best way to make these stories authentic is to get them directly from personal experience. I hope anyone on the development team may have experienced these things and know that they really brought a lovely game.
