CD Projekt Red have snuck in a secret message in their trailer that teases more content will be coming to Cyberpunk 2077 after its launch.

Cyberpunk 2077 Devs Tease Free DLC & Story Driven Expansions in Secret Trailer Message

Developer CD Projekt Red added a secret (or now not so secret) message into their trailer for upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 which shares not only will there be a free DLC but “Substantial, Story-Driven Expansions”. The message was hidden in the last frame of the launch trailer at the 2:09 mark. You can find the full message below:

We’ve mentioned before that expansions will be coming, and while we’re not ready yo talk specifics just yet, we will say that we learned a lot from our work on both Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine.

Our planned expansions will take you even deeper into the world of Cyberpunk 2077, offering substantial, story-driven content that’ll give you though choices to make through impactful narratives that you won’t soon forget.

But before we get there, we’ll first be kicking our free DLC program in early 2021. Just like with the Witcher 3, expect an assortment of free DLC packs to begin hitting Night City, dropping a bunch of cool stuff that’ll inject even more life into the world of the dark future. We hope you’re looking forward to them!

The first free DLC will be released in early 2021, plus a number of free DLC packs will be releasing similar to what happened with the Witcher 3. This means while Cyberpunk 2077 releases this week, more storyline and content will be coming next year as well.

Recently Twitter Gaming and CD Projekt Red announced they’d be teaming up for the launch eve of Cyberpunk 2077. Also details were released about how cross-saves work between the different generations of consoles in case you plan to upgrade after starting the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be releasing on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 10th. Don’t forget to check out our Fextralife Twitch channel as we’ll be taking an early look of the game.
