Polish developer Techland has announced that Dying Light 2 will no longer appear on all platforms in spring 2020. Since there was no specific date so shortly before this time window, this message comes as no surprise to us today. After Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Iron Man VR and Marvel's Avengers, Dying Light 2 is the next major title that has been postponed within the past few days and will leave a gap in spring 2020.
But when should the zombie sequel appear instead? Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka wrote to the fan base saying that his studio needed "more development time" to "implement his vision." After all, it is the company's largest project to date. That's why Dying Light 2 will be released "in the coming months". Marchewka thus chooses a very flexible term that could include any time window from the second quarter to the end of the year.
