Since April 16, you can try out the beta version of Minecraft with ray tracing and raise the normally very simple pixel graphics to an impressive level thanks to RTX. If that's not enough, Nvidia works with Razzleberries four texture packs available to get absolutely everything out of the game.
Texture packs with PBR
The texture packages differ from normal textures thanks to a great special feature: they support Physical based rendering (PBR) and try to emulate the properties of real objects. For example, these textures can never reflect more light than the light source it illuminates.
There is a disadvantage: Since the RTX version of Minecraft is currently still in beta, you can only use one of the following texture packs. If you activate them at the same time, some textures will be scaled down.
Try RTX: If you want to see the PBR textures in action without long trial and error, you can download the RTX Expo Museum created especially for demonstration purposes. In this the graphical possibilities are presented in detail.
So you create your own RTX textures
For modders who want to create their own texture package with PBR, Nvidia explains the procedure in a comprehensive guide. Step by step They tell you which programs you need and how you have to create or change the textures in order to use the new technology.

Thanks to mods come even gameplay fans get their money's worth. Many teams have published major projects such as a Harry Potter RPG or an entire MMORPG. Thanks to the German company DDB Germany, there is also a huge library in the game that brings freedom of the press to places where it is prohibited.
