The announcement was made by the studio on Twitter and by Herman Hulst, Director of PlayStation Studios, in an FAQ in the he announces that the next God of War will also be released on PS4.
Since the release of the teaser for the upcoming God of War last year, we’ve been impressed with the amount of love we’ve received from our community. We are incredibly grateful to see the excitement of the players as they play the next chapter in the adventures of Kratos and Atreus. We continue to focus on delivering a very high quality experience while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our team, our creative partners and our families. With this in mind, we’ve decided to move the release window to 2022. Thank you for your continued support and we have some exciting things in the pipeline and can’t wait to show you around.
