Black Mesa finally has a release date: The remake of Half-Life is from March 05, 2020 available on Steam and is currently leaving its early access phase.
Developer Adam Engels of the Crowbar Collective team officially announced this in a post on the Valve platform.
Black Mesa is currently still on Steam for 18 euros available – it is not yet known whether anything will ch ange from the price to the final release.
Half-Life remake finished after 14 years
The new edition of Half-Life 1 has been in development for 14 years: In 2005 work began on the voluntary fan project based on the Half-Life 2 source engine. Black Mesa has been available as an early access version since May 2015, which will now end in March 2020.
In this version, almost all levels of the classic half-life were playable, with the later Xen areas as an exception. For the past four years, the Crowbar Collective team has focused on getting the controversial Xen Level to redesign the original Half-Life, which was then added in December 2019.
Black Mesa was originally intended to be available as a free game and to be released in 2012 through the Steam Greenlight valve service. In 2013, Valve blessed the developer studio Crowbar Collective, To distribute Black Mesa as a commercial product

By the way, Adam Engels stated in the official statement on Black Mesa that the work on Black Mesa was not yet completed on March 5th. The team plans to remake Half-Life as well continue to support after release of version 1.0 and among other things, to fix bugs.
Support for the Steam Workshop – i.e. Mod support – and the improvement of the graphics should also be on the agenda.
