Just Cause Mobile: wacky action series reaches new platforms

Geralt of Sanctuary December 13, 2020 No Comments

The very wacky open-world action series Just Cause comes from Avalanche Studios. This is now making the leap away from the large consoles towards the mass market of mobile phones.

As part of The Game Awards 2020, Square Enix announced a spin-off of the open-world action series Just Cause. The good piece is called Just Cause Mobile and is an action shooter that is set in the world of the main series. In this case, the release takes place exclusively for mobile platforms.

A collaboration between various Square Enix studios in Europe, America and Japan is responsible for the development. The release of the spin-off is planned for the coming year 2021 on Android and iOS.

What do you get on the smartphone? There will be both single-player and multiplayer modes on board. You can climb and jump through the game world – but from a bird’s eye view. In the multiplayer part you can fight against each other with your friends in PvP mode for equipment and upgrades, which are then also available to you in single player.

A new story awaits you in the single player, for which you can create and adapt your own character. This can then rise in ranks, form alliances with other characters in the series and take on the opposing organization Darkwater.

Just Cause Mobile should basically be offered free of charge, but will probably then receive other elements for monetization.
