IO Interactive is working on bringing ray tracing to Killer 3 on Xbox Series X/S.

According to the developer, the team behind Killer 3 Ray tracing technology is currently being developed for the renderer in the Glacier engine.

IO stated that it regards “Hitman” as a “live game” and the version released on January 20 is “just the beginning of the journey.”

“We will continue to work on the game and add new features,” said Maurizio de Pascale, CTO. “The GPUs in the X/S series have hardware support for Ray-Tracing, which is great.

“We have started to develop RT technology for the renderer in the Glacier engine. Once it is deemed ready, we will definitely introduce it to the X/S series hardware.”

“Hitman 3” received a good evaluation score, iGamesNews’s Alex Donaldson (Alex Donaldson) called it “the finale of one of the best trilogy of the game.”
