In keeping with the week of Black Friday, the Humble Store started a big sale. There are many discounts on top-class classics, but also on some current games. We’ll give you an overview of the most exciting and best offers. But even if you can’t find a game in our selection: It’s definitely worth looking for it on Humble, as there are hundreds of titles on offer.
- Until when does the promotion apply? The sale runs until December 1, 2020, as long as the reduced prices remain valid.
- What are the specifics? You don’t have to pay special attention to anything, there are no temporary flash offers or the like. Offers from certain publishers are presented in their own categories, for example there is one Bethesda Sale, one Paradox Sale and so on.
- Subscription offer: Humble offers one Games subscription called “Humble Choice”. In November 2020, new subscribers will get 12 games for 12 dollars if you take out a subscription for one year. Doom Eternal – Test-Video zum Ego-Shooter
Genre: Ego-Shooter | Developer: id Software | Release: 20.03.2020 (PC, PS4, Xbox One), 2021 (PS5, Xbox Series X/S) | Price: 20 dollars (67 percent discount)
The continuation of the Doom reboot from 2016 was received with a lot of enthusiasm by players and the press. Again you cut, shoot and tear your way through hordes of nasty demons in the role of Doom Slayer. There are tons of different weapons to choose from. And of course the blood splatters, the bowels fly – Doom Eternal makes full use of its age rating from 18.
Hardly any other action game managed to achieve a comparable flow in 2020. Doom Eternal is brutally demanding, especially on the higher levels of difficulty, but the gameplay is more fun the more crisp the challenges become. The rapid demon hunt is accompanied by the driving soundtrack by Mick Gordon. He was already responsible for the music of Doom 2016.
Anno 1800: Land of the Lions – Test video for the final DLC
Genre: Build-up strategy | Developer: Ubisoft Mainz | Release: 16.04.2019 | Price: 20 dollars (67 percent discount) or 50 dollars for the Complete Edition (50 percent discount)
The perfect compromise between the past and the modern – that’s how Anno expert Heiko describes the latest series part, which returned to a historical setting after two sci-fi detours. Anno 1800 is now the seventh part of the popular assembly series and can trump its predecessors in terms of fun and variety.
As usual, you colonize islands, build up your settlement, trade or fight for rule. This time you are in the age of industrialization. Expansions in the Season Pass (which are all in the Complete Edition) add new areas such as the Arctic or Africa.
Anno 1800 recently received the final DLC of the second season: Land of the Lions is the crowning achievement of the already grandiose building game. Thanks to the expansion, Anno 1800 even has a Upgrade in our test earned, cracked the 90 – and landed confidently at the top of our Anno ranking.
Satisfactory – Factorio fun with 3D graphics
Genre: Build-up strategy | Developer: Coffee Stain Studios | Release: 19.03.2019 (Early Access) | Price: 24 dollars (20 percent discount)
Build-up strategy also works from the first person perspective, as Satisfactory proves. The game was originally available exclusively from Epic, but is now also available from Humble and Steam.
What is it actually about? You are an engineer who has to find your way around a strange planet. Your goal is to build huge factories and keep improving production processes. You have a lot of leeway for your own decisions and adjustments.
