What are the secret changes in the major Season 3 update to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare? While the official patch notes list most of the changes for the multiplayer shooter, some adjustments are missing completely.
The youtuber TheXclusiveAce was on the lookout for "felt changes" in Season 3 of CoD: MW and checked their validity. And some very interesting insights come to light, some of which have a significant impact on gameplay.
This four secret changes were carried out on CoD: MW and Warzone:
Big buff for the alerted perk
The most important change, which does not appear in the patch notes, is a significant upgrading of the ability »Alarmed« (English High Alert). The buff now gives us far more precise information about the location of enemies.
So it was before:
So it is now: After the update to Season 3 of CoD: Modern Warfare, only the side of the screen that we have to turn to to see the enemy who saw us is lit. This is a considerable advantage because we can get ready to fight straight away.
The warning only works before and after the update, of course, as long as the opponent does not have the counter perk "Cold blooded" active.
A new path on Khandor Hideout
A minor change with potentially great impact affects the relatively new multiplayer map Khandor Hideout. At the center of the map, starting from the main street, is one previously closed door now open. The double door thus opens another path to rotate from the inner courtyard to the main street or vice versa.
This is likely to play a role, especially in goal-based modes such as domination or headquarters. For example, a team wants to go from the courtyard quickly reach the street
RPGs in Warzone weaker against vehicles
The next change in Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare affects the vehicles or RPG rocket launchers in Warzone Battle Royale mode. As the Youtuber XclusiveAce notes, a single hit from the RPG is no longer enough to destroy an off-road vehicle or a helicopter. Instead you need two hits before the vehicle explodes.
With the first hit it will Vehicle first deactivated. With this nerf, Infinity Ward adjusts the balance. For a flying helicopter, deactivation of course means the crash, but at least players can now get out and save themselves by parachute.

A small but fine button
The next change in CoD: Modern Warfare and Warzone affects the main menu. It's actually not that secret, but if you haven't noticed yet, you might still be happy.
A new switch at the bottom of the picture allows you Remove all green indicators from the armorer and in the adjustment options at once. If you unlock something new, be it a weapon mod or a cosmetic skin, you will receive these green markers for the respective item.
Since the markers stopped before the patch until you really looked at each item individually, they quickly gathered everywhere. As a result, overview was lost and fans had requested a switch to deactivate all at the same time. It is there now.
However, the question remains why Infinity Ward does not list important gameplay changes such as the more precise Alarmed Perk in the patch notes. We have Activision at Publisher asked for an opinion and will update this message when we get a response.
