Total War: Rome 2-Gates's enemy will be Sega's first PC game in an environmentally friendly package.
"We are pleased to announce that all future physical distributions of PC games will be released in fully recyclable packaging!" Sega revealed today.
The packaging will be 100% recycled (including manuals) and use recyclable cardboard. Printing on the packaging will use water and plant-based inks and include shrink packaging of low density polyethylene. The company says that even discs can be recycled "through experts."
"Although this approach does add extra cost to Sega Europe, it is partially offset by cheaper distribution," said Sega. Part of the savings is due to the lower fuel costs and the cost of destruction to transport these lighter products Lower.
Sega had previously conducted actual testing of Football Manager 2020 with recycled packaging, released last year.
Gary Dale, President of Sega Europe, said in a prepared statement: "This move underlines SEGA Europe's commitment to reducing plastic waste and its ongoing efforts to implement environmentally friendly business practices." "Football Manager 2020" estimates indicate that we can save up to 20 tons of plastic packaging by this name alone, so taking this step in our other PC portfolios will double the savings . "
We are pleased to announce that all future physical distributions of PC games will be released in fully recyclable packaging!
