Steam just broke the record of concurrent users this Sunday.
According to SteamDB, the PC gaming platform reached a peak of 18,801,944 players around 6:20 AM PST, breaking its previous record of 18,537,490 on January 14, 2018.
.@steam It broke the record of most simultaneous online users for two years. The previous record was 18,537,490 users. It's increasing!
But in fact the number of players in the game has decreased by about 1 million (about 5.8 million two years ago and about 7 million two years ago). Https://t.co/D6WDHbz0B4

Oddly, out of the millions of Steam users who are online today, there are actually fewer in-game players than last January. Compared to the statistics of January 2018, there were 5,956,978 gamers during the peak period today, and there were more than 7 million users in the game.
"Steam has broken the record of having the most online users for two consecutive years. The previous record was 18,537,490 users. SteamDB is still tweeting today." But actually the number of players in the game has dropped by about 1 million (about 5.8 million two years ago) And it was about 7 million two years ago). "
So what is the reason for the increase in concurrent users? This is not very clear, but it has been a long time. In April of this year, Steam officially reached 1 billion accounts, with 90 million active users per month. Even before that, Valve banned 600,000 Steam accounts at the end of 2018-a record number of bans on the platform.
