The Last Guardian could be preparing his own movie

With rumors about a possible Kingdom Hearts series sounding louder and louder, now a project we wouldn't have expected comes to the fore. The Last Guardian would also want to tell their story on the big screen with a film adaptation.. In fact, sources assure that Sony Pictures would be immersed in the process of searching for actors to make up the main cast of the film.

The information comes from FullCircleCinema, on the lips of Daniel Richtman. The reporter claims that it is currently being looking for a 12-year-old boy who is responsible for giving life to the main character of the video game, but that one would also be looking for someone to play trico, called “Tree” in code for the project. Exactly what the role of the person incarnating the creature would be is unknown, although hopefully it would have to bring to life the movements of the being that accompanies us in the Team ICO game.

The Last Guardian
The two great protagonists of The Last Guardian

In addition to those two signings, Sony would also look for someone to play Ariana and Ueda, the first a 27-year-old woman and the second a man between 30 and 40 who would look for his daughter, kidnapped by another Trico in the past. Both of them they would travel with the protagonists in this new adventure whose plot is a complete mystery. What does seem to be clear is that the name of Ueda is nothing more than a tribute to the person in charge of the original title, SotC and ICO, Fumito Ueda.

At the moment, there are no more details except that the script is provided by Max Borenstein (Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla: King of the Monsters among others), and that the producer of the film is Kevin Misher. Will this be one of the projects that arrives within PlayStation Productions? A film from The Last Guardian and a series from The Last of Us are projects that we would not have imagined, and one of them is already official. Will the other one be too?
