The second season of the Netflix hit series The Witcher has now gone into production and it is already officially known that a popular star from "Game of Thrones" will also be there. It may not stay with this, however, because new rumors say that a main female character from HBO's fantasy epic should now be seen in The Witcher.

According to Kristofer Hivju, who embodied the popular character Tormund in "Game of Thrones" and who will now take on the role of Nivellen in The Witcher, there may also be a female main character in HBO's highly acclaimed series in the Netflix epic. As the fan site Redanian Intelligence, known for accurate leaks, now reports, Natalie Dormer could also be part of The Witcher Season 2.
Dormer is a fan of "Game of Thrones" as Margaery Tyrell and was seen about two weeks ago when she was riding a horse in Surrey. This location, in turn, is very close to the location of the second season of The Witcher, and a crew member who works to some extent with Geralt actor Henry Cavill is said to have been with them.

A little later, the testimony of a member of the casting team seemed to suggest that Dormer was actually involved in the production of the series. An official confirmation from Netflix is still pending. Much of the season 2 cast was announced a few days ago in a press release, and later the role of Vesemir was officially cast. However, Natalie Dormer has not yet been mentioned in official documents.
As long as such confirmation is pending, the report is to be classified strictly as a rumor. The fansite itself also emphasizes that the first reports of Kristofer Hivju's participation, for example, were much safer than now in the case of Dormer. However, there is already speculation as to which role Dormer could possibly play in The Witcher. Among other things, Philippa Eilhart would be conceivable for connoisseurs of the book series, as would Queen Meve. We keep you up to date on further developments.
